In RetroArch, you can set the display mode to PAL, NTSC, or even the classic Dendy mode.
PAL video operates at 25 and 50 frames per second, while NTSC runs at 30 and 60 frames per second. Many people found games easier to play in PAL mode since the games ran slower, making it easier to react quickly. I experienced this while playing Mega Man at home on my 50Hz console and then struggling when I played the same game at a friend’s house with a 60Hz console.
How to Adjust the Settings:
- Start your game in RetroArch.
- Go to Quick Menu/Options/System/Region.
