If your Trimui Smart Pro console isn’t turning on after an update, but the charging indicator lights up, try the following steps:
What You Can Do:
CryThrow something against the wallOrder another console to support the manufacturerOrder a different consoleGive up retro gaming (shouting: “Forget it!”)Go for a walkRead a bookMeet someone new (optionally a girl or a guy)
What You Need to Do:
- Download the recovery image from the official page: here or get a newer version from another reliable source. Look for a file like sd_recovery_tg5040_smart_pro_v1.0.4_20240401.zip (version numbers may vary in the future).
- Extract the archive.
- Use a different flash drive than the one you use for gaming.
- Format the flash drive to FAT32.
- Write the image file (.img) from the archive to the flash drive. For Windows users, everything you need is in the archive. Etcher is also a good option for this.
- For MacOS and Linux users, Etcher is ideal
- Insert the flash drive into the console.
- Turn on the console.
- Wait for the progress bar to fill completely and the console to turn off (this should only happen once).
- Remove the flash drive.
- Insert your usual flash drive with emulators and games.
- Turn on the console.
- Congratulations, you did it!
If this doesn’t work and the console still won’t turn on, refer back to the “What You Can Do” list.
